We Bought a Zoo.. I mean a Resort!

We love the thought of our kids growing up on a beautiful Lake Ida property like this getting to learn so many life skills and have built-in jobs

The Resort will operate largely the same as it is right now with a few tweaks that we hope will enhance our guests’ experience and summer vacation. We have a number of projects taking place this fall/spring and look forward to welcoming guests back for the 2025 summer season! The Resort will be rebranded and open in the spring as ‘The Shores on Lake Ida’. The gift shop or ‘Shore Shop’ will be revamped a bit and open to the public, in addition to our Resort guests. We will be offering a curated selection of quality Lake Ida apparel, light groceries, everyday toiletries, ice, firewood and bait. Our pontoon, kayak and SUP rentals will also operate out of this building.

We want to recognize God is 100% responsible for the blessings we have in this life. We walked a journey this summer that was orchestrated by His hand in so many ways. We can’t wait for many memories to come! It's now been nearly a month since taking over and we can say this property is truly a special piece of Douglas County and Lake Ida!
